Osiris Brings the Drip Drop Drip

Black mud sound --
everything is lewd in the garden.
Fecundation and golden boughs
become a 21st century muddle of implication.

Dewy dream of rebirth
dries out over the long day,
and the night brings false promise
of a storm on the horizon.

Rains too long in coming
form the empty words of Thunder        (DA)
provoking the cries of empire
from Set and his goons;

yet Nut and Geb’s scattered seed
jes grew in stony rubbish
of appropriation, misinterpretation,
and confused privilege.

One idea held at arm’s length from another
births maligned progeny
until clay made mud is applied to the eyes,
and the old washes away.
