The Birth of Tragedy
Bottled-spirit of sacred séance,
born in soil, bathed in decay,
none more beautiful in such a way,
as nightly relish fermenting
into Dionysian intent.

Lovers lie at ends, yet inseparable,
they replay games of nightly ritual
made habit moons ago,
as still dawning room mends
from midnight revelry bends.

Stale mouths kiss again,
where dry, stilled spirit hangs,
drowning away pains,
as midday shots of irreverent bliss
down until dark and into drunkenness.
