The Age of Old Men Loitering
A young girl unwittingly knows what men desire.
To use it against them, all she does is stand.
Firm yet sprite in her control,
she holds men like starch in slacks.

From behind her, mountain-cold water comes
over a supple fall. The force of gravity that could pull a star in upon itself
splashes around to witness her and the old men transfixed by youth
loitering from the burgeoning riverbank of yesteryear.

Just the thought of the naked, rousing touch
of that cold water shocks the senses; every man is a statue at attention.
She lives in the moment standing at the glacial fountain
that comes easy and without anxiousness when days seem to go on without end.
